Very nice accommodations. Staff was professional and friendly. location was perfect. the valet parking boys actually ran to the parking garage to speed up the waiting time for my vehicle.

We enjoyed our stay. They gave a free coupon for an appetizer at their restaurant/bar. It was convenient to have a coffee shop inside the hotel. The front desk was friendly and the daily room cleaning was nice to have!

Appearance going down since I was there last year

Last year, I was very happy with my stay. This year, there seemed to be many maintenance issues not being taken care of. Breakfast was extremely slow. We ended up canceling our order, or we would have been late to our appointment. I could not control the heat or AC and my room was extremely hot.

Posting this review primarily to inform others that this hotel DOES have a pool and that it is open for use as of early April 2024. There is a lot of confusion about whether there's a pool and whether it's open, so I though it might be helpful to weigh in. As hotel pools go it is pretty standard, though it is located in a nice glassed-in area with a good view of downtown. There is no hot tub. Beyond that, I'm happy with this hotel, which was clean and had helpful staff. Room had a big TV with decent channel selection. Thermostats are confusing and should be replaced, as others have mentioned. Room a little short on outlets, but that's a minor issue. Tap water tastes great and comes out very cold, which I enjoyed (it also heated up fine for showers). Room had a fridge, but I mostly kept it unplugged because it was pretty noisy.

I guess what I'd say is that something is just "off" about this hotel. The stay was disappointing for various reasons. Starting off with the positive, the staff were all very nice and accommodating and responded quickly to requests. That was all good, as expected from a Hyatt hotel. Zero complaints there. The facility itself, however, a different matter. First off, don't stay here in Springtime, if you don't love to be very warm. The HVAC system is old and only does heat OR AC but not both, and they hadn't "switched over" yet. So on a warmish April day, our room was over 74 degrees and very stuffy. The windows were bolted shut so that wasn't an option. Housekeeping did send up a fan, and while, again, the employees did their best, I don't consider sleeping with a noisy box fan in the room, to be a "3 star" experience. Guys, if you know your HVAC isn't great, at least let guests open the window a crack. We can't jump out through a two inch open window. The bedside lamp next to me was broken, no switch to turn it on or off, and obviously the hotel was aware of this because the lamp wasn't even plugged into the wall, the cord was tied off behind the nightstand. By the way, it's 2024 and the room doesn't have a single USB port to charge phones or plug in laptops? Luckily I had a very long cord on my phone charger to plug into the wall. The room also could have used a mini fridge in it, just to keep some drinks or leftovers from dinner to snack on later. The listing here mentions room service, but there was zero mention of that anywhere in the room, or on the TV. The faucet in the bathroom wasn't really attached to the sink so when I knocked it with my hand while washing, it kind of fell over. Luckily, still connected to the hose so no spraying water, but still. I had to literally search over 5 floors of the hotel to find a working ice machine, because the one on our floor was broken. I went to four other floors before I finally found one that worked. The bed itself, I guess maybe some people will like it so I'm not sure I should fault the hotel, but it was like sleeping on a melted marshmallow. So soft and fluffy that it swallowed you up and made it difficult to even turn over. Very hard to be comfortable. Finally, the elevators were "odd". They had a touch screen interface that went "offline" at various times, and there was a sign in the elevator how to use the telephone keypad to dial in your floor. Also, one elevator was out of service so it was a good long wait for an elevator at peak times. Like I said, overall, just "off".
